World Robot Olympiad 2022

Together with over 100,000 children in the world!

The World Robot Olympiad is an international educational robotics competition where passionate young learners come together and experience the process of creating robots in an engaging and rewarding environment. RoboBrain is proud to be the official organiser for WRO UK.

As the National Organiser for the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) UK, RoboBrain recently hosted our third year of the WRO UK competition. Two winning teams from the WRO UK competition represented the United Kingdom in the WRO Final held Germany!

What should I expect when participating in the WRO?

WRO UK Develop Skills

Develop Problem Solving and Personal Skills

Students develop and demonstrate their ability to solve problems whiles solidifying their personal skills in the WRO competition under the guidance of their team coach.

Exposure to National and International's Student Robotics Communities

Gain experience and get inspired through the opportunity to compete with UK’s young robotics talents, and the International community of student robotics contestants in the WRO International Finals!

Collaborate and get Creative

Allow children to collaborate and get creative, building their dream robot whiles learning the fundamentals of computer science and robotics.

My Robot My Friend

The regulations for each category are described in the General Rules for that category.
Additional regulations are: 

  • A team may participate in only one category per season. Any student may participate in one team only.
  • The age group defines the maximum age of the contestant in the calendar year of the competition.
    (Not their age at the date of a competition.)
  • The minimum age of a coach at an international WRO event is age 18.
  • Coaches may work with more than one team.
